Dr. Kimberly Ricaurte

Dr. Ricaurte has committed her professional career to creating personalized relationships with her patients and their families.

Since completing her medical training at Northwestern, she has shared her skills first in the Chicago North Shore, with a thriving private Allergy practice in Winnetka for over 15 years.

Now she is thrilled to relocate to the Barrington area, allowing her to reach those searching for specialized Allergy care not previously available in the community.

Offering traditional Allergy, Asthma & Immunology services, Dr. Ricaurte has also developed unique skills in managing food allergy – which has always been of special interest and focus for her practice.

Management of food allergy is an especially complex process, which is best overseen by a Board Certified Allergist with significant food allergy experience.  Offering the most advanced diagnostics and treatments, Dr. Ricaurte is proud to provide OIT (oral immunotherapy) for food allergy. OIT is a critically recognized method to help eliminate even the most severe food allergies safely and effectively.

She also specializes in SLIT (sublingual immunotherapy) to manage both seasonal and food allergy. SLIT is a much more convenient alternative to traditional allergy shots, as they can be safely done at home.

She also believes a holistic approach to overall wellness is vital to each individual’s well-being.
